I’ve seen a lot of hoopla in the blog world about Fresh.
There is a location a hop, skip and a jump away from my humble (temporary) abode, so I decided to see what it was all about.
I ordered:
grilled vegetable and pesto burrito
grilled red pepper, zucchini & sweet potato with pesto, vegan
mayo, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, red onion & alfalfa sprouts
with goat cheese
With a side of sweet potato fries and salad.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. I’ll definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes!
I had 2 goals today:
- Procure groceries
- Go to the gym.
1 out of 2 ain’t bad right? I still have yet to be successful in purchasing groceries. Goal #1 will be bumped until tomorrow.
I did, however, accomplish goal #2. I hit up the gym in my condo building and spent 35 mins on the treadmill. Felt great to get my sweat on again! Woot woot!
I’ve been up pretty late the last couple of nights. I’m finding it hard to settle down at night after putting in a kazillion hours at the office. I’m still not really 100% unpacked, but I’m not going home this weekend so I hope to get settled then.
Time to spend some time with some On Demand episodes of Y&R.

Mmmmmm! So glad you liked Fresh! That place is crazy good. I have yet to have a bad meal.
We don't have that restaurant, and for that, I think my life will never be quite as good as it could be.

This is so funny - i've heard so much about this restaurant as well.... and I live in VANCOUVER. I am however going to Toronto in a week and plan to give this restaurant a try with a good friend of mine. I'm happy you've validated the resto for me - thanks!

You really like Y and R! Did you know there is a real Genoa City in Wisconsin? It is out in the middle of nowhere; just a few farmhouses thrown together. No Victor Newman or mansions/Athletic Clubs anywhere!!! Somehow, I was disappointed...maybe they could have put up a sign...something!

I am so jeallous that you get to live so close to Fresh. So far I have made the 45 minute drive once to have lunch at Fresh. Knowing that I wouldn't be going back anytime soon, I was overwhelmed by all the tasty dishes on their menu. Glad you liked it.
I used to live right around the corner. You should try the Magic Tofu wrap with some cheese. Oh.My.God. I didn't like tofu until I ate that.

I work near Fresh (Spadina location) and I go every Friday for "Fresh Friday"!! (well that's what I call it)
I get a Jerusalem Bowl and a Detox Juice. Ya it's a $20 lunch but I think about it all week long! Plus they tell me to wait 10 minutes so I meander over to Guess or H&M or Lulu on Queen to kill time.
If you get the J-bowl, grab a container of hot sauce from the condiment counter.
Next time, I recommend the Cowboy Burger. So delicious.
That food looks so delicious! I need to get my butt to that restaurant ASAP!
