I came back to Huntsville a day late as I had a meeting in Ottawa this morning. Lucky for me, the morning rain (I hate driving in the rain!) turned into sunshine which made the drive quite pleasant.
Another aspect that made my drive pleasant was the fact I FINALLY joined the year 2010, and procured myself my very first Ipod.
Isn’t it pretty? I’m VERY hard on Mp3 players. I go through about 2-3 a year. I think this is because I shove them in my bra when I run and because I sweat like a beast they end up rusting out. Gross eh?
Long story short, I bought myself a pretty hardcore protective cover and a 3 year warranty. Here’s hoping this puppy lasts!
Highlights of my drive included belting out the Ike/Tina version of “Proud Mary” to my friends answering machine and catching myself singing Celine Dion’s “I drove all night”. Yes, I said Celine. Ugh. I much as I loathe her, that is one catchy song! :)
I arrived around 4:30 with just enough time to drop off my stuff, change and boot it to spinning. I’m still feeling a little craptastic, but it felt great to get a good sweat going. It kind of felt like I was sweating out germs. Stupid me forgot my spin shoes in Ottawa though. Grrrr!
Dinner was quick and easy. Leftover salmon, rice and sautéed butternut squash cubes drizzled with a little agave.
I will enjoy these fresh strawberries that I tossed in a little balsamic (sounds gross, but tastes divine. TRY IT!) during my hot date with my boyfriend, Jack Bauer.
In case you’re wondering, I have 4 true loves in this world:
- Captain Morgan (he has the ability to make all bad days better with his delicious rum)
- Derek Jeter (Not only does the man play for my favourite baseball team, but he’s uber talented and dead sexy, especially in pinstripes)
- Jack Bauer (I want him to pull my hair and say “DAMMIT!” during sexy times…. sorry TMI perhaps.)
- My loving husband, Andrew.
I’m so lucky Andrew married me knowing that I lust after other men! :)
Have a great night! Ciao!

Good choice in men (though Andrew might take issue with being at the END of the list!??!) :)
I agree with the Captain Morgan....and I've never met your hubby, but he sounds pretty nice! Mine has to put up with the whole Twilight Edward situation. Not him as an actor, but him as a vampire. LOL
Hahah....aren't you so happy Jack finally got some this season?!
That is the ONLY Celine song I like! It's a fabulous driving tune!
=)
Bahaha! I'm single, but whoever I end up marrying will have to be okay with sharing my undying love and affection with Peyton Manning! Something about the athleticism and oh good Lord those arms... ;)
Absolutely loving your blog- very inspirational x

Oh I want those strawberries!!!!
I have an MP3 player that has lasted for me. I'm bad with gadgets and I know this (on my 17th phone)so my hubs got me an iaudio...they're beasts and it's never plunked out on me. I love it!
ipods break too often on their without my help so you can imagine they don't last long.
Yay!! I am really hard on electronics, and my first iPod lasted 4 years... I replaced it because the battery stopped holding the charge. Now I have the same one as you--only blue!
I think you'll be fine--just don't go swimming with it or anything!
haha... that's the only Celine song I like too. can't help it!
