US Shopping Trip

Andrew and I went on a cross-border shopping trip to Syracuse, NY last weekend. With the Canadian dollar being almost at par, it was the perfect opportunity to score some good deals.

I’m packing up all my stuff today as I’m moving to Hunstville, ON until July 31st for work related duties.

It was the perfect time to take pictures!

I’m a huge fan of What Not to Wear, and I like to think I’ve become quite good at picking pieces that you can mix and match to make multiple outfits.

Up first – Black blazer, teal sleeveless top. Its hard to tell, but the blazer has some wonderful darts in it to hide all the jiggley bits!

A white cardigan with a bit of a puff sleeve, and a super cute navy/white/orange dress.

Awesome red short sleeve fitted blazer, purple/red flowery flowy top.

2 sleeveless tops… essential for the summer and perfect for under a blazer.

Beige blazer, and underneath it is a super cute skirt with shades of navy, pink, and black.

And some simple basics for the bottom: Pencil skirts in navy/chocolate brown, and a walking shirt in a khaki green.

And SHOES! 5 pairs were bought in total.

Now, less blogging.. more packing. So far I’ve managed to fill 2 wardrobe boxes, a suitcase filled with workout clothes and 14 pairs of shoes. Oops!

CUTE STUFF! Can you come help me shop?

NO worries on how much you pack...we are girls...we need options!

Have a great weekend!

You're gonna look HOT ;) Love the new stuff!!!

G'luck with the move...and it's better to over pack than underpack, in my ever so humble, junk collecting opinion.

Love the tops. My favorite tops are those that are flowing and light, although I don't own as many as I would like.

The shoes are adorable. You can never have enough shoes. Hmmmmm is it any wonder I have a part time job to pay down debt. Gets ya thinking.

Awesome shoes!

In Huntsville, there is a restaurant on Hwy 60 by the water that is amazing. Here is a link to the menu(think it is still their winter menu).

They are very accomodating to dietary restrictions also. I like this place alot, but it gets busy in the summer.

Here is a link to the all important menu:

I don't know how to make it a hyperlink.

Enjoy Huntsville!

I hope this doesn't sound weird when I say this - but I am SO excited to see you pair red and purple together!!! I get so annoyed when people are like, no, they don't go together, when they TOTALLY DO (hello, red is an essential color when making purple!)

I LOVE all your outfits, I think you have GREAT mix and match pieces!!!

I have those black flats with the ruffles on the toes on today! Ha! It took a few times wearing them to get them broken in, fyi. They killed my feet for a few wears, but after that they are really comfortable and cute to wear! Especially if paired with something that has a ruffle on it.
