Day #2 back on track has been a success!
This time around, I’m using Spark People to track my calories. So far, so good!
For the record, I thought about paying to rejoin Weight Watchers online, but really, I just wanted an online method to track what I was eating. Sparkpeople has a great database, and the best part IT’S FREE!
Jersey had her annual trip to the vet today. She was a nervous little Nelly, but all was fine!
I’m happy to report that the vet RAVED about how low her resting heart rate was – indicative of lots of exercise. He said that if she was a human, she’d have the same fitness level of Lance Armstrong!
Looks like all the running has paid off! She was only .20 of a pound heavier than she was last year too. Go Jersey! I feel like a little horn tooting for Andrew and I is in order. We’re pretty damn good doggie parents. Toot toot!
After the vet, I hit up Body Combat for an hour long sweat session. I looved it as per usual!
Arrived home and made a feast.
Chicken, baby bok choy, portabello/white mushrooms, shallots, garlic, chicken broth, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, sesame seeds and 1/4 cup brown rice.
I love this meal. Its filling and calorie friendly!
I cannot lie. I feel fantastic. Its amazing what a little tracking can do! :)

Yay, it sounds like you're off to an awesome start! :)
Yes, LOVE combat too! Good for you, you had a great day!
Great job with the tracking! If you have an iPhone they have a great app that might be helpful too...keep it up!
You've convinced me to start tracking too!! Way to go, it IS amazing when we do what we are supposed to.
You are wonderful doggy parents, Jersey is a lucky lucky dog.
Go Jersey Armstrong! lol And Sparkpeople is a great tool. Keep up the great work with the tracking, girl. BTW- you look fantastic, too. That picture of you and Jersey is proof that you look good. You may not like what the scale tells you, but you look pretty darn good yourself.
Good job chicklet...remember the good feeling is how I get through "the eat everything in sight even though I have the metabolism of a hippo" phases I go through.
Cool, I might have to go take a look at that sparkpeople website!
Good job on your health Amy :)
I have been a big fan of SparkPeople for a few years now. But then, I LOVE the numbers.
