I wish I could come up with a glamorous story, but in all honestly it was just a klutzy moment.
As I was running home from work today I stepped on a crack, rolled my right ankle, went down on my left knee and managed to roll off the path to my right.
The end result?
A bloody knee, a swollen/purple ankle and a bruised ego.
It shook me up so much, I actually cried.
Then proceeded to limp the 1.5k home. I didn’t have my cell phone, as I left it at the office to avoid having to carry it home.
After I took off my shoe when I got home, my ankle instantly doubled in size. I’m currently camping on the couch with my ankle elevated and an ice pack on it.
I’m slightly concerned about what the lack of exercise may do to me in the next couple of days while I recoup.
A couple of years ago, I endured a brutal IT band injury. I didn’t handle that well at all, so here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.

Oh....OW! Find some arnica gel and start putting it on there asap..it helps SOOO much with soft tissue stuff and bruising and speeding up healing. Ow ow ow. Sorry that happened. :( And what a painful 1.5 k walk home that must have been. :(

OUCH! Hope that heals up quickly. Definitely force yourself to do some rest. You don't want a long term injury. I've done things like that. You feel stupid for it, but you're so not alone.

DUDE, I am so sorry. I would have cried too.
do NOT worry about crying. I rolled my ankle on a long run last summer and actually sat on the sidewalk and cried. two teenagers in baggy clothing actually backtracked to make sure i was ok.
get well soon, and well get together to get back on the horse, even if it's slowly. :)
