Since I have absolutely NOTHING interesting to blog about, I thought I’d bring my my infamous 1970’s Corelle ugly plates tonight’s post.
I made Roni’s Southwest Turkey Burgers again tonight. Still just as delicious. Topped with a slice of FF cheddar, avocado slices, salsa and greek yogurt. On the side, some parsnip chippies.
Sorry for my lack of blogging last night. Andrew and I were out working on a little somethin’ something.
I’m not handling this injury well AT ALL. The good news is, its coming along quite nicely. I should be back to normal soon enough. Ironically its actually my knee thats still bothering me, not my ankle.
Sam just saved the day and provided some interesting blog material for tonight.
You may or may not know, that I’m the lucky owner of a baby grand piano.
Sam thought the INSIDE of the piano would make a great bed. Its a good thing he’s cute!
I played a couple of notes, and he was OUTTA there!
Do your pets have any quirks? Cute flaws?
I could actually write a book about all the weirdo things my pets do.
I shall leave with you a little tid bit about each of them.
1) Sam – Likes sitting in the piano apparently, and NEEDS to be in the bathroom with you when you’re in there “reading a magazine”.
2) Lewis – Licks Andrew’s hair, and kneads my leg and sometimes (even though he's fixed) it gives him a little mini kitty boner.
3) Jersey – Is petrified of the oven. As soon as I open the door to take something out, she starts shaking and panting.

Aww animals are so cute! Dexter lays in the most uncomfortable position to keep his head up so he can watch us. He loves to chew ice cubes but won't eat them. My little bro's dog SINGS to all music. It's hilarious. I'll have to post a video sometime.
LOVE plates! We had the same set...think my mom still has most of them!
Funny...that's what happens to me when I've baked something and take it out of the oven!
PARSNIP CHIPS? Those sound amazing!!!
Love the kitty pix and stories. :) Cody is terrified of measuring tapes, hairdryers, brooms, vacuums... and the list goes on. But when the baby cries, he comes a'runnin'! I think he is intrigued by the sound, but I pretend that he is coming to protect her. :) He's her big bro. Big furry bro, haha.
haha, that plate is awesome!
As a gag gift for a bridal shower, my friends & I once raided thrift shops and put together a gift of 70's corningware.
Your plate made me think of that!
Corelle plates are the best! They are so light.
Your fur babies have the cutest eccentricities - boner and all :)
Aw, my German Shep mix is terrified of the oven too! Every time I turn it on he hides in the dining room, and totally refuses to go anywhere near the kitchen. We have a super sensitive smoke detector though and it often goes off when we're using the oven so the dog associates the oven with the noise I guess. My lab is terrified of the vacuum. He'll run away to a different floor until the vacuum is turned off!
I totally grew up with those plates! This is really weird but every Indian person I know has those plates in their house... very strange.
I once had a cat that would use the litter box then find a plastic bag and spread it out over her litter like a sheet. If she couldn't find a bag she looked really un-at-ease until we provided her with one!
I want your piano, omg.
Riley (my pup), when you tell him to leave a toy. He'll look at you, lower his head slowly, raise it up again, then lower it slowly to the the toy.. all the while looking at you, looking so guilty, as if he's trying to do it without you noticing. It's SO funny, and hard to punish him after. He's a funny guy.
I am making those burgers SOON. Thanks for the reminder.
my mom had these in gold and my aunt had them in the green you have.
Just found your blog - congrats on your great journey. Glad I found you - now to catch up on your posts.
Cats have a way of finding the most bizarre places to nest. Too cute.
