Out with the old

In with the new!

Today Andrew and I bought a brand spankin’ new Kia Rondo. We decided to be proactive and buy a new car now, as both of our cars are 2001’s and we would like to avoid having 2 car payments at the same time.
We got a great deal on this baby with a 7 YEAR/140k WARRANTY. Can you believe that? Not to mention free oil changes for 4 years. Combined with a nifty rust inhibitor and a wicked financing plan, we couldn’t be happier. We pick it up on Wednesday night!
I’m feeling a little sad about trading in my beloved Cavalier Z24. It was the first car I bought on my own. Its cute, has a sunroof and is manual… making it SOOO fun to drive. Goodbye cute car, hello mommy mobile. :(
We spent the majority of our morning car shopping. Once all the papers were signed we headed to Cora’s for breakfast.
On the menu: COFFEE! This tasted like heaven. I was soooo sleepy after not having a morning coffee prior to car shopping.
and The Great Harvest (I think) Brioche french toast, 3 slices of bacon and a mound a fruit. It also came with an egg, but I donated that to my husband. Eggs = gross.
As a result of the late brunch (2pm) I didn’t eat again until dinner.
Brussels
And homemade pizza. ESBM homemade crust with chia seeds, Alfredo sauce, mushrooms, spinach, red/green peppers, broccoli, onions and a smidge of old cheddar. I love broccoli on pizza.

My ankle/knee are finalllly starting to feel better. I think I might attempt some light cardio tomorrow. I’m thinking a good sweat session on the elliptical or something with light impact. YAY.
I also am attending a bridal shower tomorrow. Apparently an invite was sent in the mail to me, but I never got it. This doesn’t impress me. I kind of want to call in sick.
Clarification: I’m not PREGNANT. Apparently buying a bigger car = pregnancy. We simply wanted a car that we could fit POTENTIAL offspring and still have room for the Jersey. :)

I like the new wheels! I'd say skipping the bridal shower sounds like a fantastical plan...say you sent them an RSVP "no" in the mail....but it got lost. Oops.
Congrats on the new car!
We bought our Rondo 2 years ago and still LOVE it! The price was right, and the flaxability is awesome. We have the 7 seater which folds down to take the 2 dogs, or hockey bags, etc. Have fun with it! Oh, also the ability to slip into standard mode is AWESOME in the snow for more traction.
I'm glad you put in the clarification...but it would have been your own fault for calling it a Mommy Mobile :-) Love then new wheels!
Wooohooo!! Score!! You two are wise to think ahead!!!
Question: is your warranty still good if Kia goes under? I heard they were in financial troubles :-S
P.S. I wanna know how come you have a broken heart :-(
Looks like a sweet deal you got on that new vehicle! And Cora's.... mmmm!! I'm salivating now, thanks a lot :P
Nice new car! Maybe you could take out the back seats and put a whole bunch of workout stuff in there...then you can say you just needed extra space in the car?
When you're married and don't have kids, some people are relentless in trying to make you have them!
How are your injuries?
Congrats on the new wheels! Ah...new car smell :-)
That pizza looks delish!
I LOVE my Rondo! Great choice.
Sweet ride...
