If you read Angie All the Way yesterday, you may feel like you’re having a déjà-vu.
My dinner was pretty much an exact replica of hers.
Southwest Turkey Burger on a WW bun, topped with 1/4 of an avocado, Greek yogurt and salsa. On the side: Parsnip fries.
It was my first time making these burgers, and I have to say they were amazing. Moist, and FULL of flavour. Instead of dried cilantro, I used Marvini Cilantro paste. I don’t use cilantro often enough to buy the fresh herbs, so I use this as a substitute. Its fantastic in homemade guac!
This is where my post gets borderline stalker’ish. Angie wrote yesterday how the thoughts of canned pears, Greek yogurt and honey were making her drool. Sure enough as soon as I read that, I too started to salivate at the thoughts of this heavenly combination.
It did not disappoint. I added a sprinkle of granola for some crunch. Note, that’s a dessert sized bowl not a cereal bowl!
I didn’t make it to the gym today. I ended up working until 6:45pm. I’m not feeling the slightest bit guilty as I was so busy at work today I didn’t have much time to eat.
Looking forward to a great sweat session tomorrow and another day of some delicious eats.
Night!

I've never seen cilantro in a tube before, only the fresh stuff. What a great idea!
I always like how you manage to come up with new and interesting food/meal ideas, but they're what real, normal people with busy lives would prepare!
Hahaha, I got you with my preggo palette! Maybe this is a SIGN! lol
Damn good eats I know that!
That cilantro paste would have been perfect for that recipe. I've got some frozen herb cubes in the freezer than I never even thought of using! I had a bunch of fresh cilantro on hand to use anyway (I LOVE the southwest sweet potato recipe and planned to make that so I bought a bunch!)
I've never made parsnip fries before - I will definitely try that soon, it sounds really interesting!
