An ode to the Fitnessista.

I cannot take credit for the amazing creation that is The Breakfast Cookie, made famous by Gina a.k.a The Fitnessista.

You may or may not know, that I don't like eggs. As a result, my options for protein packed breakfasts are pretty limited.

Not anymore my friends!

I've been making the breakfast cookies for quite sometime now, but rarely blog my breakfasts during the week. As I was enjoying my cookie this morning, I couldn't handle it anymore. I whipped out my blackberry snapped a pic and had to blog about it.


In my amazing cookie today: 1 tsp PB, 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 scoop plain protein, 1 scoop Chocolate Amazing Grass Super Food, 1 tsp cocoa powder, enough agave to sweeten, 10 chocolate chips, a couple pumpkin seeds for crunch, and 5 dried cranberries.

To quote the Fitnessista herself, "FOODGASM!"

It tasted like a chocolate haystack cookie! A little sweet for breakfast perhaps, but hey, I loved it!

The best part about these cookies, is by far the staying power. They are a little calorie dense, (I'd guesstimate 350-400 cals for the one above) but for me it all equals out in the long run because I'm full until lunch and don't need a snack in the morning.

I feel the exact same way! Minus the egg part... love me some eggs. But I do find that the breakfast cookie can be pretty calorie filled, BUT it really does keep me full for hours! :)
