I have zero tolerance for pain. Nada. Zilch.
Today my ovaries must have been pissed at me for gazing affectionately at cute little babies this weekend, because holy frig did I hurt today. All day I was dreaming of a hot bath and Midol.
When 4:00 rolled around I was in no shape to hit up the gym, so I walked home. I was greeted by a smiling golden retriever the second I walked in the door, so I put on her leash and we went out for a 45 min power walk.
Tired dog = accomplished!
When I got home, I changed into some workout clothes and did a 28 min workout on EA Active. We picked this up last week and we’re both really enjoying it so far. The only thing I don’t love is the lack of ab exercises so I popped in my new Bootycamp Fitness DVD and did the Ab-solute Core workout. It was all going great until the end when Sammie made me do a 3 minute plank. TORTURE!
Dinner was simple, yet delicious.
Balsamic chicken pieces, shredded brussels, broccoli and 2 little pieces of crusty bread.
For desert I plan on having a cup of light hot cocoa with mini marshmallows and FF cool whip. I’m loving having this for a night cap/dessert combo. Helps me relax whilst satisfying my sweet tooth!
Until tomorrow my bloggie friends! :)

For this line alone, I ♥ you.
I'm sorry about your pain. (I TOTALLY understand that!)
Your pup is SO adorable!

Your dog is too cute!
I hear ya on the ovaries!!!I totally sympathize with you.
You totally crack me up!
Awesome job on working out anyway...I probably would have curled up around the heating pad.
I feel your pain my friend. I myself have felt that from time to time.
I heart your dog. I know I have said this before but I do. She is beautiful.
Oh god, I hate my ovaries/uterus/female reproductive system at times. So I hear you on this one.
I have Gaiam Living Art Abs DVD. (one pilates, One yoga, one balance ball.) Killers all of 'em.
Hi there,
I have never commented on here before but have been reading it for a long time and I was just wondering what your recipe is for your balsamic chicken? Sorry if you have posted this before and I missed it! It looks so delicious!! And I love your pup! Thanks.
3 minute plank!!??!!?!? *gasp* I just about die at 1 minute. That takes some stamina.

Omg, you crack me up!
what does 3 min plank mean?
And if you ever need a home for Jersey, I will adopt her, anytime :)
Yep don't you love those ovaries, I'm on prescribed drugs for that myself.
Not bad for a girl that didn't feel well enough to go workout...good on you!

Maybe you could blog your entire daily food journal instead of just dinner? Don't have to do pics, just list everything. With points or calories would even be bonus. Might help with accountability, since you said that food, rather than exercise, is your downfall. I know it's mine!
I adore that picture of Jersey, it's absolute perfection!
I think that sounds like one hell of a workout on your own!!!
Re: your comment: For the e-reader you can use the Sony store (the Kindle does it on a wireless network, that is super cool) but with the Sony you have to plug it into your computer old school.
HOWEVER, instead of purchasing books like I chump, I have just been downloading them...as long as they are PDF, Rich Text Format or Microsoft word then it works on the reader!
Hey there! I also started a weight loss blog recently. I read that you do weight watchers...I am also following that program! Seeing your success has certainly given me a boost of self-confidence! Anyways, your blog is witty and funny, so I'm going to plan to read it! I hope the woman issues subside...this time of the month sucks!
I'm totally digging my night time hot drink these days! Calms me down and warms me up at the same time. Impressive workout for someone not feeling good! Well done!
Hi Amy,
Don't usually post, but read most days. :-) I too love Jersey.
About menstrual cramps...I keep a hot water bottle at work and one at home. I love them, and you can just stick them in your waist band and move around the house as you want. Just a suggestion, if you don't have a heating pad.
Your doggie is so sweet...great camera work, BTW.
A 3 minute plank??? Paul Plakas should invite you for his weekend getaway, that's for sure! (How does Andrew feel about this?)
I saw brussels sprouts at the supermarket today and thought of you, the Queen of Brussels Sprouts. :)
Thanks for a great blog!
You are so cute, I hope you feel better today!
Amy, this has nothing to do with your post but I have a question, do you know of any store bought granola bars that are healthy, low in fat and sugar? I've only found All-Bran bars, and where I live they are not always available :(
Anyone?
Some days I wish I could skip "le everything".
