I had a perm alright... only it was permed BANGS. That's it. My mom thought they'd be "easier". Right. That coupled with my Troll sweater (with real hot pink hair and bejeweled belly!) made for one hell of a school picture. Now if only I could find it?

Girl, you know I did! This looks so similar to my 10th grade picture. In 1993.
And there were no bumpits. Just a comb to tease with.
You've almost inspired me to dig a pic out while I'm at Mom's this weekend. Almost.
You just wait 'til I whip out the pic of when my bangs got burned OFF by a perm in grade 8...oh yes, the HORROR!

Of course I also had the poof going on back then (and I believe I was in 8th or 9th grade back then. Class of '98). I had that style down to perfection.
Is it just me... or are the hairstyles now way better than they were back then?

I think my hair was EXACTLY the same! Thank goodness we've all grown up & grew out of that phase!

OMG, my 7th grade photo has the exact same hair (just a little darker). LOL
I was rockin' the perm in the early 90's too...maybe I get mom to did out my gr.7 and scan it for me...lol.

It scares me that while you were in 7th grade I was graduating high school. I hadn't realized I was that much older then you.
And yes, I had that hair. I big pouf in the front. It was hideous.
And in the 9th grade I had a mullet. Can you beat that?!

My dad used to cut my fringe. In case you are in any doubt; it didn't look good. I think nature manufactures it so that kids go through a bad hair phase at school - it makes you harder. Srvival of the fittest, or something.
I have a very similar picture my dear.. I think it was 6th grade though. I had the poofiest hair EVER.
