Go figure the one day that I actually make it out of work on time to make it to the gym, I decide to blow it off to go for a run.
Who could blame me with the weather being crazy mild and sunny sky like this:
The second I got in the door, I got changed and grabbed my girl and headed out for a glorious 7k.
The whole run I feeling great. I was slightly underdressed for the weather, I wore just a 3/4 shirt and my jacket. Despite that, I still managed to sweat my face off.
If you look closely in the first pic you can actually see the sweat rolling down the side of my face. Hot eh?
Oddly enough I actually crave sweating. Bizarre, I know.
The best part of the skipping the gym was getting home early. By 6h30 I was done my workout and had supper ready for Andrew when he got home.
On the menu tonight balsamic chicken, 1/2 cup rice and a whack load of broccoli with one fat free cheese slice on top. Delicious.
Alright my friends, I have a problem. This is what my kitchen table looks like on any given day during the week.
Yes, that is a bra, underwear, boots, a sweater, a blouse, a toque, 2 pairs of pants and my winter jacket
How does this happen you ask? Well it’s simple. I’ve gotten in the horrible habit of just wearing my gym clothes home after I’m done. When I get home, I go directly upstairs to shower and get in my pjs. Therefore, my work clothes don’t get unpacked until the next morning when I’m repacking my gym bag. I NEED TO STOP THIS!! I keep my house pretty clean except for all the friggin’ clothes. I know the solution to fix this is simple, so I thought coming clean about it on the blog would help me break the habit.
Do you have any horrible habits you want to confess?

Horrible habit? Me? None! I'm lying.
I love to live in my pajamas. As as humanly possible I'm in them!
I have a little confession I had to click on picture of the table piled with clothes, so I could get a good look at your boots. I'm shoe/boot collector in the early stages rehab treatment. Love them! Thanks for showing them!
I have tons of horrible habits but I won't get into that ; ) But I do have to say how thin your face is looking! You must be really working it on those runs!
Table was not that bad! My bed looks 1000% worse! Make your healty lifestyle pay http://beachbodycoach.com/kendrick3900
Hi...my name is Carol and I'm a dropper. Yes, I drop everything right where I stand, and then it stays. And grows...and then, as I'm trying to negotiate my hallway, and cursing the whole time, all I can think of is Hoarders. Watch for me, will you?!
And sweat rocks! Not glistening, not glowing, out and out sweating!! I'm there with you. Keep up the good work!
My kitchen table is usually strewn with legos, text books, fitness books, the newspaper, markers, gluesticks, and sticky stuff. So, I feel your pain. We usually eat up at the bar, not the kitchen table...the table just ends up being a "project" area...but....it gets a little out of control!
I just noticed that in various places around my office are 6 pair of my shoes and two pair of my youngest boys' wrestling shoes. DANG...clutter ville over here today!
Good for you on the run. I did the same thing on Tuesday...had needed to hit the gym but our freaky warm January sunshine called to me.
I know what you mean...I'll try on lots of things before finding what I want to wear, and everything ends up on my bed instead of back in the closet. It's a mess!
Haha!
Mine is that I always let mail pile up on the island and I hate it!
I have an island in my kitchen, that tends to get attacked by paper/magazine piles on a regular basis. I agree with the previous comment, your face is really thinning. I noticed mine did that after beginning running, it looks thinner than my body now IMHO. Great post.
I had this problem too!!! I would leave little piles of clothes all over the place.
My boyfriend came up with a great solution: we lined a whole wall in our bedroom with hooks (we went to Habitat for Humanity and got some nice looking ones for CHEAP!) and we just hang everything on the hooks. Then on Saturday mornings (or whenever you do your tidying) you transfer the clothes back to hangers in the closet, or the laundry pile. It's made a big difference, and was so easy to do!!!
PS. Don't you wish we lived someplace where we could run outside all year round? This is my number one complaint with Ottawa (though this winter has been a lovely mild one, relatively speaking!)
My kitchen table looks the same, although it has more stuff piled on it than yours (other than clothes). I never unpack my gym bag until the next morning when I'm already running late, so I end up just throwing my crap on the table or ground. Classy. Good thing we live in the middle of nowhere so my parents and friends don't come popping in for a visit every day.
SHOES!!! I'm bad about taking my shoes off as soon as I walk in the door and they just sit there accumulating all week until I have to go to the living room to finished getting dressed instead of my closet! It happens!
This yr I put my stuff away as soon as I get in. The husband is being 'gently' encouraged to do the same.
I just did a post on workout laundry as it was 'totalize' nuts last night. :)
ah, dirty laundry...love it!
so my lil horrible habit is i'm a pack rat and so, i'm now addicted to watching Hoarders and then picking a room and de-hoarding it, but it only lasts for a while, so it's a constant cycle! i have to watch the show to get the motivation to pick another room and go to it! we have a small house so i really do have to keep at it but it feels great after i complete a room! it's the upkeep i have to work on!
I'll admit it, I have a "junk drawer." I know, I know, it's supposed to be a dirty SECRET, but it's time to come clean. I think we all have some awful little habit we choose not to share with the world. My junk drawer is overflowing with mail, and office supplies, and I even found a hair elastic yesterday - yeehaw!
Loved this post, Amy!
Hey!
