sans technology

Winter has arrived in Ottawa. As you can tell, Jersey hates the snow! :)

We had a viewing scheduled for 6pm tonight. I arrived home and cleaned like a mad woman, only to have the doorbell ring at about 5h30. “I advised your agent we’d be a little early” Only problem with that is, my agent forgot to tell me.

I was quasi ready to go, so I grabbed Jersey and set out on a run. The problem was, because I was so rushed I didn’t have time to grab my garmin or my mp3 player. I ran around the block a couple of times, as I was planning on stopping back at the house to grab my technology. They were taking forever to look at the house, so I just decided to head out of the neighborhood on my 5k route. After I finished that route, I was still feeling pretty good so I kept on trucking and ended up doing almost 10k when all was said and done! I just listened to my body to judge my pace and I felt amazing the entire time. I cannot believe I lasted for over an hour without music. That my friends, is a miracle.

Tonight marked the first time of the season that I rocked my ponytail hole toque. This thing is awesome! Sorry for the crappy pic, its hard to take a self portrait of the back of your head with a SLR!

Did you find it hard to run without music or anything? I guess not, considering how far you ran! Good job! I seriously don't think I could run without my ipod!

Jersey is so cute!!! There's nothing quite like a beautiful big dog playing in the snow. Way to go on your run! Your hat is an awesome invention!!!

doesnt everything taste better on a holiday themed plate? And you are so in the business of making sprouts popular! I added them to my next grocery list!
And every time someone says exciting news, I can't help but think "baby"!

Hey!! That's totally my chicken recipe!!

OK fine, I stole it from WW, but I'm sure I stole it first!!!

I make it often for guests and they have no idea it's "healthy". It's even one of FH's faves.

That's incredible! It must be a great feeling knowing that you don't "need" any technology to get you through a great run!

Last night I watched the BL episode from last week where they all ran a marathon and none of them had any mp3 players, just cameras in their faces and buddies to run along side.

(I GOT ALLLLL PUMPED UP!!! :-D)

Sweet 'unexpected' run. Winter is arriving here tomorrow...and you would think the world is ending the way they talk about it. I am doing my Tuesday/Thursday Zone5 and 3 runs without music. I need the attention to be on my speed zones. I am saving music for my brain dead Sunday long runs. (which are ramping up to scary distances already)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. That reminds me: I have brussels sprouts in my fridge. Good job on the run! Too bad about the forgetful agent but nice to know you can rock it without the tunes!
