welcome back Mr. HRM

Most of you know, my true love is Mr. Garmin.

Today I welcomed home an old friend. Mr. HRM.

I’ve had this toy for quite a while, and admittedly don’t use it often enough.

I decided to wear it to Group FIT tonight, to get a gage on how much I burn while I’m there. Tonight’s session was an interval type of workout. Carolyn set up different stations and we did a circuit with partner boxing drills in between sets.

I burned a total of 634 calories in 1 hour and 1 minute. Crazy!

I’m going to wear it on a couple of runs, to spin class and also to Body Attack to get a gauge on what I’m burning because like I said, its been a while since I played with it.

A quick recap of my day:

Andrew and I went suit shopping today. Turns out his suit MUST has shrunk, so we needed to get him another one for Granny’s funeral tomorrow. Who knew suits were so pricey? Ah well, we got him a wonderful suit, shirt, tie and even a sharp new leather jacket. The boy deserves to be spoiled too.

I skipped breakfast (yes BAD me) and lunch was this. WW tortilla, refried beans, old cheddar, red pepper and salsa. Served with red pepper slices, and FF sour cream. To drink: Almond Breeze, banana, and Amazing Grass  chocolate flavored Super Food .

Major sugar craving this afternoon. Diet orange crush and a fibre one bar.

Dinner tonight was totally random. Chicken cesar salad, acorn squash and broccoli topped with parmesan. It was a “use up whats in the fridge kinda night”.

Perfect 3 point sweet ending to the day. One serving of organic honey teddies (Shoppers Drug Mart Brand) and one fun size package of Smarties. This is a great snack, because its sweet AND takes a while to eat. Totally satisfying.

Alright. Its late, and I have a rough/long day ahead of me tomorrow. Must get a good nights sleep to put on my brave/supportive wife face for my wonderful husbands. I don’t do particularly well at funerals (does anyone really?) so I’m hoping I can stay strong for Andrew.

Ya, funerals are challenging. So many emotions. Your hubby needs you and you will be there. It's enough.

That class sounds like an awesome workout!

Sorry to hear about your loss, and so thoughtful that you want to be strong for your husband. Considering the circumstances, I hope it went okay...:(

I feel really badly if it was my comment that drove you to get new dishes, although I don't think it was me who said they "hated" them. What you cook/make is so beautiful! (BTW The new white ones are lovely). I will shut up now. If I come to do the Ottawa marathon you can come and personally kick me in the ass.

I love your blog!

Hugs for today. It is a fact of life but it is so tough. Trust me, we have been through a lot of them over the last few years.
My HRM is going through a beating in my spin classes.

Wow, tons of exercise and totally cool that you have a HRM to really figure out what you burn.

Funerals are hard :( You being there will be just what your Husband needs in this difficult time- sorry for you loss.
