Thursday evenings with Paul Plakas

How much better can it get… Spending a cozy night on the couch with a man you love and admire? :)

Tonight I spent my night with another man. Yep.

That man is Paul Plakas. The last 2 weeks, he’s Tweeted while the new episode of X-Weighted is on. Its a lot of fun, so anyone with Twitter, tweet along with us next week!

In other news, the great heart rate monitor experiment continued tonight. I wore is to spin class, and burned 677 calories in 60 mins. I give credit to the hot man clad in spandex sitting beside me for this high calorie burn. Its amazing how hard you can push yourself when there is hotness beside you!

We had another showing of our house tonight. Headed out to Costco to kill time. I was pretty impressed with the selection of ‘healthier’ options that Costco has started to carry. I got this 12 pack of Annie’s for just $6.97. Thats a unit cost of just $0.34!

Look what else I found!! Costoco sized Mary’s!

Dinner tonight was simple. Broccoli, roasted brussels, 1/2 cup couscous and a piece of salmon.

Sorry for the grainy pics. I had my ISO setting set to 800 instead of 400.

Its Friday tomorrow. No huge weekend plans of yet, except for a fun shopping day with my buddy Lisa on Saturday!

With Vegan Week being all the buzz this week, I leave you with this question: Do you vegans/vegetarians extend your beliefs to encompass wearing/using animal products? ie- leather, soaps, cosmetics? What are your thoughts/comments on the issue?

Just something that peaked my curiosity after reading Caitlin’s great post found here. If you haven’t checked it out yet, head over there. It generated a lot of interesting comments that I enjoyed reading!! I’m always curious on people’s reasoning for choosing a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.

Oooooh, it's bad to know that Costco carries Mary's!!

I've come to the conclusion that crackers are not welcome in my home. There are just too many of them. I enjoy their company too much! And the crunch...

Ooo, I didn't think to look for him on Twitter. I always try to watch that show! Although, I prefer the older "singles" to the new family ones.

I like Paul. I had a pretty severe hate on for that mother in the first half of the episode last night so I turned it off. Is it just me, or do they seem to emphasize people's resistance in the first half of the show for drama? I end up getting frustrated with people and turning it off.

I about peed my pants when Paul tweeted back at me!!

confession: I wasn't even watching the show...just following the tweets. LOL.

Dude, those Annie's are cheaper than KD!! I hope ours has them!

Hello Amy,

I left a comment on your blog yesterday and I didn't get a reply. Is it ok for me to leave a comment on your blog or only your friends?

Anyways, being very new to this, pls advise.

Thanks,

Manon from Ontario

If I wasn't stuck in court last night I would have totally been in on the tweets!

I liked the discussion in the comments of Caitlin's post yesterday too. I rarely have a chance to read them, but I was interested. Did anyone respond to your question?

I loove x-weighted! Great show!

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I try to be a "flexetarian". I'm working on cutting back my meat intake to 3-4 times a week rather than every day!

That's such a great deal on Annie's pasta. I don't have a Costco membership but I've sent my mom out to get me some.

I've only caught a few episodes of the new X-Weighted format. So many great shows on TV these days.

I loved Caitlin's post on vegetarianism etc. as well. I'm pescatarian since Aug,and I am picky about animal products. I will not buy anything leather, and before I watched Earthlings, I bought a new blackberry case and leather couch and felt very guilty about it. Knowing what I do now I will not purchase anymore leather, and I have always bought as many products possible that are not tested on animals since I was forced to watch a documentary in high school showing animal testing, and to this day that stupid video haunts me. Luckily alot of products today are not tested on animals and we can choose wisely.Great questions!I'm a believer that when you know better you do better. I'm trying to do better all the time.

Amy's pasta was gone. My mom asked an employee and apparently they were reduced to sell.
