I had a hard time deciding how to spend my day off. Andrew had to work, so I toyed with the idea of going to my hometown to hang with my Aunt today but one look of love with from my brown eyed retriever made the decision for me. A day devoted to my favorite girl.
I started the day out with a bowl of Shredded Wheat with skim milk and banana. I love this for breakfast.
Then Jersey and I headed to Conroy Pit. Conroy Pit is a HUGE area of trails that is all off leash. It an absolutely wonderful place. Of course, on a beautiful day like today it was JAM packed, but because its so huge you don’t notice how full it really is.
Jersey met another retriever and they played like feral dogs!
And the rest of the time she ran around like a crazy lady. She loves it there so much, almost as much as I do. Its such a heart warming experience watching her run around being SOOO happy!![]()

Post dog park I hit up Starbucks for a caffeine boost, venti non-fat, sugar free, cinnamon dolce bold misto. Heaven I tell you!
I dropped Jersey off and headed out to run some errands. By the time I arrived home I was staaarving!
Lunch was a combo of these ingredients.
I was chatting with my dear friend Adam via email the other day, and he was telling me about using refried beans and tortillas for lasagna. Ever since that conversation I’ve been kind of craving some refried beans. Adam, please forgive me for not using your EXACT recipe but this is a keeper I tell you!
Refried beans, homemade guac, old cheddar, red pepper slices on a Pita One flat bun cooked on the foreman grill until the outsides are crisp and the inside is all melty and delicious!
Served with some roasted brussel sprouts.
I have approx 8 more mins to relax, then I told myself I’d do a power clean of the house for the next hour. I have Group FIT tonight, so I want to also make a meatloaf for dinner to avoid having to cook when I get home.
I hope everyone is having a great day and took a little time to remember all those who lost their lives or served during the world wars and those who continue to defend this beautiful country of ours today.

I just adore your dog. I love the color of her. Our cocker used to be a deeper red but at 3yrs old it's faded to more of a strawberry blonde color. anyways that place looks beautiful.
