Step one to recovering from a sugar hangover. A hearty/nutritious breakfast.
Pumpkin/Apple oats with a FF/SF Cinnamon Dolce Misto.
I had a comment last week asking if I make or buy my pumpkin oats. The answer is, I make them.
In the pot today went:
- 1 cup oats (I made a double batch for the husband and i)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1 gala apple chopped
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
- ginger
Toppings were:
- unsweetened coconut
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- toasted walnuts.

The oats sound good, wish I could get into them!
I am all over pumpkin right now which I never thought I would eat in my younger days.
I even enjoyed a pumpkin ale on Friday.
