Restaurant Review: Green Rebel, Ottawa

I’ve been meaning to write about this place for ages, but I never have my camera with me at work. I didn’t want to do a review without pictures, because the food is amazing!

Green Rebel is located on Albert St (Constitution Square) in downtown Ottawa. I discovered this place en route to Starbucks one day, and instantly loved it.

The offer salads, soup, sandwiches at lunch, and oatmeal/bagels in the morning.

Today I opted for the Bean Power sandwich with avocado added.

Green Rebel also makes THE best Thai Chicken soup that I have ever had. In fact, its often sold out by 12h15. I went to get my lunch at 11:55am today, so I was able to get a bowl.

This combination was super filling and kept me full ALL afternoon.

Green Rebel is an environmentally friendly company. They use compostable plastic ware, eco friendly containers and they also sell reusable salad containers and offer a 10% discount when you refill it!

For all readers located in Ottawa, I highly recommend Green Rebel. I will admit, its a little on the pricey side but in my opinion I’d rather pay $12 for a healthy soup and sandwich (salads are about $10) then eat a greasy burger or chinese takeout!
