Feeling grrrrrrrreat!

I ended up going to the gymbo today. I chose to kill two birds with one stone and hit up a Goodlife that is in a Loblaws.

I ran on the hamster wheel for 50 mins, then did Body Pump. I haven’t done a Pump class in forever, so it felt great!

It had been a while since we did groceries, and I did a HUGE haul. $100 worth of fresh eats.

Dinner tonight was: Salmon, broccoli, corn and salad. YUM.

I’ve said this a MILLION times… but I’m going to be following the old Weight Watchers Core program again. It get a little to hopped up on sugar and carbs, so I think its best for me to detox for a little while. I’m not in super duper running mode, so I can afford to minimize the carb intake without killing myself.

It was a damp afternoon, so Andrew and I spent some time snuggled on the couch. Usually Sam joins us, but today Andrew left Jersey up first. (Grrr… No dogs on the furniture!!) Much to my surprise, Sam joined her!! All four of us were on the couch at the same time… here was the view from my end:

Sometimes I think I might be the ‘fun police’ of dog owners. We have Jersey trained not to go upstairs -I don’t think dogs belong in the bedroom, and I hate dog hair near my clothing etc. I also don’t let her on the furniture. I’m a softy when it comes to the cats though…. Samuel sleeps at the end of our bed every night. Lewis is anti-social and sleeps on the steps. Weirdo.

What are your rules for your pets?

I think it's great that you trained the dog not to go on the furniture - my mom's big golden lab is the MOST SPOILED DOG EVER and there is always hair all over her couch!! At the same time, I couldn't imagine NOT letting him up when he was an adorable little puppy, either, so it would take willpower!

My cat, Webster, goes everywhere in the house. He even gets up on a kitchen chair while we are eating dinner! I cross the line at him getting ON the actual table, but he sits on the chair and watchs us, he also sleeps in the bed with us, usually up by our heads!

I hate dogs in beds.

The only rules that we have for our cats is that they are not to be on top of the counters or scratching the carpet/furniture.

Our cats rule the house :)

Poor Charlie - he has the same rules as Jersey, no going upstairs and he is not allowed on the furniture. He DOES have his own little room though and we dont go in it while he is in there.

As for the cats...yeah, they are allowed to do everything...they are impossible to stop!!!! And they do sleep in the bed with us!!!

Aw, poor puppy, not allowed the same rights as the cat! lol.

I guarantee you your dog goes upstairs when you're not home. Guar-an-tee it! :o) When I was growing up, ours wasn't allowed upstairs either, and we used to see him peer out of the blinds from the upstairs bedroom when we'd come home from somewhere. Then we'd get in the house and he'd be downstairs to greet us, looking innocent as could be.

Now thinking about it, my new commitment to WW Online is definitely better on the quality of the food I'm eating and I almost feel like "core" because I am not obsessed with counting and am okay with rough tallies. So far so good!

I let my dog up on the furniture and that is because she's small. She also sleeps at the foot of our bed sometimes and it's always been fine. Chandler roams around the house and changes his "spots" every few weeks where he likes to sleep - sometimes it's on my back!

I wish we had trained the kitty kats better, they rule our house. The baby sleeps with us in the top corner of the bed - basically on my head.

My dogs aren't granted access to the upstairs/bedroom area. My cats pretty much have rule of the entire house. I find them asleep on the dining room table quite often. They know well enough to stay off the kitchen counters yet every morning I find tiny paw prints in my kitchen sink. Silly cats.

Hahaha- I will clash with everyone on here....we let all our dogs sleep with us. I love it. We put a top sheet on our bed so it limits the hair factor. I love having a bed full of warm bodies on a cold winter night!! Maybe I'm a fool;P Each to their own right?!
