You know how most dogs get excited when you mention the word walk? We avoid that word like the plague, but now she even gets excited when I change into my workout clothes! :)

We avoid the "W" word at all costs. If we're discussing whether or not to take Marty out we use the word "stroll" because he hasn't caught onto it yet :P
They are pretty smart creatures. We used to spell "walk" out but eventually he caught on. I went home for 2 weeks to visit last time and Mom's dog remembered that I always wore a hat while walking him (from like a year before!), so everytime I'd put on my hat, he'd run to the door and wait.
My dog is the same way! She learned the world "walk," she learned to spelle "w-a-l-k," and now she knows when we change clothes or grab the keys, and she goes crazy!!! Once you step towards her leash, there's no going back. :-)

We have a jack russell pug x who loves to run. Skittles runs with my husband for 10k and then comes home and she I walk for another 5 k and then she joins us on the tennis court as our (slightly crazy) ball girl.
Her energy and enthusiasm for life and fun is just so great to be around.

Such a beautiful dog. We avoid the word "walk" too simply because our dog runs and lays down on her bed when she hears that word. She's kinda like us....doesn't wanna go but once she get's going she loves it. lol.
