Dinner from a box

I'm sure you can all relate; when you're sick the last thing you want to do is cook. I was not blessed with a husband that cooks.... so even when I'm sick its up to me to get supper ready.

Tonight's meal was focussed around this:

But because 'just noodles' is not only boring, but has no nutrional value I added some veggies. And a chicken breast
The end result = not too shabby. The nutritional information was a little on the high side at 330 calories per 1/3 of the box. I bulked it up though, so the majority of my noodle bowl was veggies. Not bad for a quick, 'outta the box' meal.

To wash it down: 1/2 OJ and 1/2 diet gingerale. Even when I'm sick, I'm looking for ways to cut calories. Cutting the OJ with gino us the perfect way to get your fluids in without the calories!

After some serious picture experimentation this after, I think its evident that they key to good pictures is NATURAL LIGHT. I live in a semi detached house, so our living room only has one window. Any pictures I take there tend to be off, but any I take in the kitchen/dining room turn out wonderfully. Lesson learned! Thanks for the advice. :)

These pictures do look better. I live in a completely detached house, and I still only have one window in my living room. >:o|

Hope you feel better soon!

Here's what I do to cut the calls. I mix soy, honey/hoisin, ginger root, garlic and olive oil and use those Japanese buchwheat noodle. (Loblaws has them.) Reduces the sodium, and the chemicals.

Still pretty damn good for being sick.
