A difference?

This is how I looked when  I left the house this morning.

This is how I looked after returning from work today.

A difference? Not so much. This wouldn't be upsetting if I hadn't PAID to get my hair done. I need to preface this by saying that I LOVE my stylist and have been going to him for 3 or 4 years now. That being said, he is getting TOO busy and cannot take the time to listen to what I want. I thought the end result would be shorter and lighter.  I know I'm the one to blame here, since I should have spoken up... but frig.  I was really hoping for something fresh and spring-like. I was also hoping it would be a bit of a confidence booster, as I've been feeling pretty down in the dumps pertaining  to my looks of late. :(

I took half a day off to get my hair done(read: have it look exactly the same) so I'm currently eating my lunch (at 4:12pm) a lean cuisine skillet (PUKE) with some extra broccoli.
I have run club tonight, but part of me just wants to go to bed and not wake up until tomorrow. :(

After run club- shower up. Maybe that hair will perk up. I know sometimes when I style a fresh cut at home it looks better than the salon styling.

That funk has been running wild lately and I just picked myself up out of one.

I think you look fantastic either way but I totally hear ya about needing a pick me up!

I detest skillet sensations!!!! Ugh.

Hope your run turns that frown upside down!

i can see a difference, definitely more razor-ends for sure... my stylist is one for talking too, and she's so damn fast sometimes... i've made a point now to check things before i get up from the chair (just in case)... :)

I agree that I can see a difference as well - BUT I understand the desire for change - HOWEVER, that doesn't change the fact that you are a STONE COLD FOX!!!!! (But I still understand the desire for change!!!)

Ok, I think you look gorgeous, and I love the colour more in the before, but I do enjoy the cut in the after...(at least, I think it's cut...looks like a bit of an angeled bob?) You look adorable and super cute. I love how natural your look is, really fresh and young!

Cheery up puppy! I feel like ass too....lets feel better together!

True, not a big difference, but I can totally see A difference. :) I like the razored/tapered ends, which gives it a fresh, trendier look.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

I can see a difference, however I know what you're saying. I have been in Toronto for 2 years and have yet to find a hair dresser that listens to me.

I see a difference, but not a $100 difference ;-) Maybe he just cleaned up the ends? Which will help in theh long run...trying to think positively here.

You look beautiful both ways Amy :-)

I hear ya sister. I say that the new cut is great, but ya if you paid $100 for the color to be lightened up then I would say something. I hate it when that shit happens. Chances are he totally knows but is counting on you not saying anything.

I'm currently pissed at my stylist too. She totally screwed my bangs and cut too much all the way around. Apparently her definition of "trim" and mine are quite different.

You are so pretty. With both colours :)
The new colour really suits you, too. Maybe try a John Frieda hair creme to boost the colour?

You look awesome but I hear you...my stylist is pretty good but sometimes get so carried away chatting that a trim turns into way too many layers bordering on a 'moolay'.
I am in funkytown as well...don't know why.

I would be pretty sure that if you called the salon or stopped in and let your stylist know that you're really not happy they'd do what they could to make you happy. I've been going to my stylist for 5 + years now and I don't speak up often, but she always says "you should have called me and I come in and I would have fixed it for you" ... I definitely see the razor edges in the cut & the color looks shinier & a little darker ... take a picture after you've styled it and let us take a look-sie ! =) Maybe the cut and color just need to "settle".

what's wrong with the lean cuisine skillet with extra veg? aside from the fact that they have very little taste? a little spoonful of hot chili sauce with garlic solves everything :)
