Homemade Takeout?

Thursday recap: I needed a break. Last night I did absolutley NOTHING. I didn't exercise. I didn't worry about food. And it felt friggin fantastic.

Back to regularly scheduled programming:

Beside my gym is the home of the Green Papaya, one of my favorite thai restaurants. Thai is probably one of my favorite cuisines... the hotter/spicier the better.

I've been trying to replicate Pad Bai Gra Prow (Chicken with thai chicken and basil) for quite some time but have never really nailed the recipe. Until tonight that is!! It was amazing! It had the perfect spiciness, along with a strong basil flavour.

The pefect mix: Chicken, green onion, vidalia onion, red & green peppers, mushrooms, snow peas, zuchinni, fresh basil, topped with1/2 cup basmati rice.

The sauce was a mixture of these 3 ingredients. This chili sauce is amazing. Loblaws was out of chili peppers, so I bought this instead. If you're looking for the spice factor, this is the sauce to get. I have a HUGE collection of chili sauces, as I've been on the hunt for the perfect sauce for quite sometime. The search will stop now!

The perfect ending to a spicy meal: Ice Cream! Chapmans ice cream was on sale tonight... so we bought the apple pie, and caramel praline. I had a scoop of each to mellow my mouth.
Its been a stellar day...  Banana/coffee for breakfast, I had Subway for lunch with my co-workers and a sweaty upper body workout and spin class after work!

I have Lisa's workout to look forward to tomorrow. I'm kind of afraid..I'm not gonna lie. Especially since I have 16k on my plate for Sunday morning.

Time for some Dexter and my husband. Goodnight!

Lovely supper and that sauce is HOT HOT HOT! Straight out of the jar on some whole wheat noodles will take the taste buds right off! Keep up the good work, you are more of an inspiration than you know.
Cheers! Rebecca

What a yummy dinner - will have to try that! We frequent the GP also - and like Sala Thai in Alta Vista.

I need your advice regarding some running questions- will try to pen an email soon! I am wondering if my clinicis building properly for the 10 KM run on Race Weekend. I really want to do well and then even consider doing the clinic for a half for the Army run -but I fear my current training will sabotoge my success.
