Its another cold one in Ottawa today. I was craving comfort food big time. That being said, I didn't have a lot of points to work with, because I may have indulged in a date filled cookie this afternoon that one of my co-workers baked.
Its been a while since I've made soup, so I made a huge pot of 0 Point soup. My secret ingredient you ask? PARSNIPS!! I cannot tell you enough how AMAZING this tastes in said soup. I also add a can of diced tomatoes... another excellent additive!
Weight Watcher bread was on sale this week (I never buy it... too pricey!) so I bought a loaf. I made 2 delicious mini sammiches to go along with my soup. One grilled cheese with tomato and one with a laughing cow wedge, tomato and fresh basil. I pressed them in the pan by putting a frying pan over top of them, and weighted it down with a 12 pack of diet pepsi. PERFECTION!

I took the night off exercise. Just didn't have it in me. I deserve a night off every now and then! I did do two 20 min yoga sessions... one was for runners, and the other was a hip opener. It was okay, but I enjoy loud music, sweating and punching things much better! :)

I always forget about making soup. It's such a good idea because it is low in calories and I usually make enough to last for a few days. Thanks for the parsnip tip as well.
