I'm on training for the rest of the week. Its super dull and boring. Worst part is, it takes me verrrry far away from my gym making after work workouts non-existent. Today worked out ok though. I had run club at 6:00 which was an easy peasy 3k so I went to step class afterwards and worked up a good sweat.
In other exciting news, I finally found WHEAT BERRIES!! They were at the Bulk Barn all along disguised under the name Hard Wheat Kernels. Christy, are you reading this?!

ha, I just found wheat berries exactly the same way the other night! Kind of a pain in the ass timewise but I tried them in my oatmeal and I like em!
Seriously? HOw did you make that connections? I've seen the damn hard wheat kernels before! Now I have to go to Bulk Barn tonight!!!
Thanks for reporting the find. I emailed you and thought you were ignoring me but now I know why you did cause you're on training.
Ha ha something happened to me! I asked the cashier at Bulkbarn and she told me. This is after searching the aisles for 30 mins!
Enjoy...I like to make them with barley. I add balsamic vinegar, tomatos, and feta for a delish wheatberry-barely salad. Super filling.
Hi Amy, yeah, sprouting seeds are available at Bulk Barn, but I've found that the ones I bought there didn't sprout too well... If you go to Market Organics on York Street in the Byward Market, you'll get bulk sprouting seeds that work super well!!
The Hard Kernels are best used for breads, and the Soft Kernels are good for cookies (or "rawies" if you're into trying some raw recipes).
Once I sprout my seeds, I grind them in an old, hand-cranked, meat grinder. It works well, and I've made some super cute sprout bread this way (you cook the lump of ground sprouts in the oven at 200F for like 8 hours).
Lots of fun stuff to do with sprouts!!
I am going to have to check out the bulk barn ASAP!
Great job on your loss! Keep it going :)
Congrats on the WI! WOOT!
I'm going to try those wheatberries whenever I get teh chance to run to BB!
Congrats on the loss!
