I did go to the gym though. Body Combat followed by a 45 min run on the dreadmill. Not too shabby I suppose.
I used my Vita Cuisine Steamer last night for the first time. It was great! I made salmon, broccoli and brown rice. The rice was amazing, definitely the best brown rice I've ever had. It was moist and cooked PERFECTLY!
Here is my bathing suit selection for Cuba... I bought a couple of tankini's. I'm feeling self conscious about this trip because we're travelling with 2 other couples and both of the ladies are skinny and hot. I'n having reservations about actually swimming in them, especially the one on the far right. Those 2 little strings have A LOT to hold up! I need your honest opinions on the one piece... I bought it last year thinking it was cute and modern. However, I wore it camping one weekend and my cousin asked if I borrowed it from my Aunt. Nothing against my Aunt, but she's 65.... and I don't think she'd wear a bathing suit like that. Honest opinions please!

I'm not a fan of one pieces in general . . .
Don't feel self-conscious! I bet those skinny hot girls are just as self-conscious as you are, and will only be thinking about what their bodies look like, not about you.
I know completely how you feel. I'm going to Mexico in a few weeks with skinnies as well. I know they don't care what I look like but it still makes me feel nervous! However, I'm trying my best to not let it get in the way of having a great time and not worrying about it!!
I'm with Tash. Everyone is insecure about their bodies for one thing or another, so as long as YOU feel good then don't worry about what they may look like.
I love the center and right ones...super cute. And if the one piece works for you then have at it!
Enjoy yourself!!
I think they all look awesome and you can rock every single one of them!!
I'm sure you will see all kinds there!
I hear you about wimping out. At least you got through your class AND on the treadmill. I lasted 10 mins today and had to go home...I think it was just my body's way of telling me to slow down.
So jealous that you are going away!!! Have fun (that's the point of it all right??)
I think the one piece is nice, but you should probably stick with the 2 piece swim suits. They are definitely a lot "younger".
Nothing is more sexy than a woman who is confident and who has worked her ass off to look as fab as you do Amy. Who cares what the other girls look like. You know deep down that you're awesome!
I have a one peice, mind you, all black with industrial strenth cups in it to hold up the girls, and I love it. The only thing I stay away from is horizontal stripes because they make me look wider. I think your suits are great and you'll look awesome, so no worries k?
*laughs* I don't know what your aunt is like, but my aunt doesn't wear suits with a top like that!!!
I don't usually wear one pieces EXCEPT for when I am SPECIFICALLY going swimming, so yeah, it will be good for that!!
And I third what Tash said!
They are all super cute. Thank the lord for tankinis because they are the best invention for us ladies with a better developed mid section ;-)
I like the one piece too - not old auntish in my opinion :-D
I think the one-piece is cute! Not at all old-ladyish.
Bring 'em all and figure it out there.
Don't sweat it -- I'm sure you'll be walking around with a cover-up or sarong...lying on the lounger everyone looks good...so that only leaves you walking the beach or going into the ocean with only your suit on. You'll rock it!
I think the middle one is the best!
Amy, Go to Cuba with your head held high and have a great time! You have accomplished amazing things and you look awesome!!!
You will rock any of the bathing suits :-)
Just had a flashback to the bathing suits my aunts wore (those that actually did swim). There is no way that one piece is "aunt material". Now I have to get the image out of my head LOL!
Also, bet the curvy chick turns more heads than the skinny girls. It's all ATTITUDE!
Amy, I was counting on you doing that run - I'm training for a half and just BARELY made it through a 12k run - but kept thinking, well, Amy's doing 18k, so I need to suck it up!! No more missing those long runs! HAHA
I'd bring them all! they are all cute and with similar top tie backs so the tan lines would all be the same.
The only tankini I've had lately is a maternity one so flaunt it chickadee!! You worked hard for it :)
I think they are all great and you will look fabulous!
that made me laugh---your title.
I usually opt for Slacky McSlackerson.
may be stealing yours.
(oh and the suit? wear what you love, throw the shoulders back and STRUT and own it.)
Miz. who still swims in running shorts and a sports bra so prolly dont listen to her.
Stop stressing and relax. No one is perfect. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. All the best.
i like the one in the middle the best, although the red might be more flattering than the stripes :)
