Holy *&#$!!!

Yesterday, I enjoyed a post run chocolate milk chez Starbucks. I just ordered a large, assuming it would be in a carton. But they mix a syrup, type drink.

I just looked up the NI. I had orginally figured it would be about 6-8 points. WRONG!

Long story short, not worth it!

Fuck. No wonder I'm fat!

Last Day of Fiscal Year!

1. For all the other gov't people out there, you must be as happy as I am! The chaos will likely keep on for the next week, but the end is near. WAHOO!

2. Andrew and I went to see The Other Boelyn Girl yesteday. BRTUAL. As always, the book was way better. They changed so many parts it was unreal! I didn't realize it until I was telling Andrew all the difference. Weird. I think I will start reading another one of her books, perhaps The Boelyn Inheritance.

3. I ate too much ice cream this weekend. I came up with my new plan of attack. My cheat day, will now be on long run days. I figure this way, there will be minimal damage caused calorically. Plus, I'm always starving on long run days so this will workout I hope!

Menu today
B: 1/4 cup granola, 2 FF yogurt, chopped banana
L: leftover beef stew, 2 little pieces of baguette
D: macoroni casserole

AP's: I think I need a day off. My little leggies are sore after carrying my chubby ass around for 14k yesterday.

View Interactive Map on MapMyRun.com

Check it out... a new feature I discovered on mapmyrun.com. Not bad, even though I'm behind the times in the world of techie-stuff!

It was quite an excellent run... its beautifu, and sunny outside to boot!

LSD day, so it took about 1h55 mins. I'm training with the 2h30 group. Odd thing is, I'm enjoying it so much more taking it easy. I'm just out there to get the exercise, not break world records. Go me!

Life's up and downs

Easy part of my day: Waking up early to sneak in a 5k run.

The hard part: Saying goodbye to a wonderful friend. Lots of tears were shed, but I'm so glad I went. Being surrounded by those who loved Pat, in an odd way, put a smile on my face.

The good part: I barely ate a thing all day with the exception of a banana, so I will enjoy my jalapeno burgers for supper tonight.

The best part: Relaxing in the arms of my loving husband. In an odd way, Pat's funeral made me remember how blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life.

Am I outta the loop?

What is a feed reader?

Frrrrriday

1. Thanks for all the suggestions yesterday on retrieving my lost post. The problem isn't in face with blogger.. its with me! You see, I tend to compose my posts in the body of an email; then copy and paste the text. This way when people walk by my office I appear to be working hard... GENIUS!!

2. I got my eyes tested last night. I'm significantly blinder then the last time I went to the eye docs. Frig me, glasses are pricey eh? I have coverage, but frig.

3. I can't stand some of the pathetic people at my office. They have nothing better to do then stand around and bitch and complain about everything. Its getting old. Real fast.

4. I was quite happy to awake to the news that the Leafs won't make the play-offs. Go Habbies!

5. I just ate a donut. Not the end of the world though... I haven't eaten anything yet today.

6. Exercise has been going along quite nicely. Hill training on Wednesday, Step aerobics last night. Tonight will likely be some weights and a wee run.

7. Tomorrow will be a sad sad day. A very dear friend of mine passed away on Wednesday. He was only 52, and died after a massive heart attack. He was at our wedding only a few months ago, living it up. Its still so weird knowing that he is gone. He will be deeply missed, not only by me... but the many lives that he's touched over the years.

Grrrrr

Gah. I just wrote a huge post. Now its gone. And I'm pissed.

More later.

Food Blogs

Anyone have any good recommendations for some healthy-living/cooking/eating blogs that have recipes and pictures?

Don't stop believing

...I am totally addicted to Journey lately, yes I'm weird...

1. Last night was not to much of a success. My legs were still pretty sore after my run on Monday, and technically it should have been my day of rest. So I indeed did that. Rest. But what I didn't need to do was eat! It threw me off being home so early! I've been working a lot of OT of late, but with my car being at the shop until the weekend Andrew and I are driving together so I actually left after 7.5 hours of work! I got home and was starving, so I made a little turkey sandwich on WW bread with gouda. Then I had a 2 point cupcake with icing. Gah. Supper was good; chicken stir fry noodle bowl made with whole wheat pasta. But THEN i had a bowl of low fat ice cream with caramel sauce. WHY? Jury is still out.

2. Tonight is hills once again. We're up to 5. At least most of the snow has melted off the streets. It feels good to have found my running mojo. I'm slower then usual, but I'm actually enjoying it!! And the way I see it, as least I'm out there right?

3. I must make an appt to get my eyes tested. My headaches are getting outta control and I thought that this would be a step in the right direction, before seeing a MD.

4. I am coffee-less this morning. This causes me pain. Oh, and I just noticed I'm oatmeal-less also. Lovely.

5. I am going to rock today. I promise.

6. I have also decided to reintroduce my 'cheat day'. Its worked well for me in the past, and I've been cheating far too much during the weekend. Ie- the icecream episode last night. I need to cut those foods out during the week, and enjoy them on a weekend day.

Menu du jour:
B: oatmeal (hopefully I can borrow some from my GF at work)
S: orange
L: Leftover stir fry with WW pasta, 2 yogurt, apple
S: granola bar
D: turkey sammich, tomato soup (good warm up food after running)

AP'S: Hill training, likely about a 50 min run in total

Back to work

1. My looong weekend is over, but I'm ok with it. We're right in the chaos of year end, and I'm absolutely swamped. I'd rather just get it over with, then sit at home and think about it.

2. I made some delicious beef stew last night... I googled recipes all day, but they all seemed whacky. So I just browned some stewing meat, added taters, carrots, onion and celery to the slow cooker and filled 'er up with some beef broth. Once everything was cooked I thickened it up with flour. Who knew it was so easy? All the recipes I googled had all these crazy ingredients; like tapioca? WTF?

3. It should be noted, I didn't eat ANY chocolate on the weekend. How awesome am I? I did have a piece of lemon merigue pie, but thats ok too.

4. I'm kind of embarassed to admit this, but Andrew and I started watching One Tree Hill on DVD. He downloaded the first season. Despite the acting being horrible, the writing being pretty brutal and unrealistic I'm kinda hooked. I don't even know why, because I really don't even enjoy it that much. We spend most of the time laughing at how brutal it is.... maybe it has something to do with the fact that there is NOTHING on TV anymore. But you know, I'm reading a lot more now which is pretty good.

5. Another thing that I'm not proud to admit: I'm addicted to Rock Band. We played it for hours at a friends place on Sat night. Turns out, I'm quite the drummer (says the music major.. of course I have good rhythm!) However, my 'get rich quick' scheme will be to design an ergonomically correct bass pedal. Holy frig, by the end of the night my hip was screaming at me, and I had a shin splint! Haha! I'm going to get the patent and be rich!!!

Menu:
B: Oatmeal
S: orange
L: leftover stew, pineapple, 2 yogurt
S: granola bar, strawberries
D: chicken stir fry. Too many veggies in the fridge!

AP's: Step classeroonie.

Random Monday afternoon thoughts

  • I ran for 1h37 mins today, and I felt great the entire time. I was supposed to do this run yesterday, but my running buddies wanted to go today. I did sneak in a little 6k yesterday too.... just to keep my mileage up in preparation for Mr. Half.
  • Easter was a success. I managed not to eat much all day, so I went into Easter dinner with just about all my DPA. Delicious turkey. Mmmm. Turkey.
  • I made a delicious toasted turkey sandwich on one of these bagels. They're 2 pts and pretty tasty indeed!
  • I'm sleepy.
  • I had to take my car back to my mechanic in my home town. Turns out the new struts that I had installed were faulty, resulting in a very bouncy out of control car. We're becoming a one car family until the weekend.

Menu du jour:

B: 2 pieces WW bread, banana

L: Grapes, Bagel with turkey, gouda cheese and lettuce

D: My attempt at beef stew in the slow cooker

AP's: Long ass friggin run.

For Irene

A few days ago the lovely Irene, asked me to post some 'non bride' pics of myself. Here you go!
Self portrait taken last night
Mirror shot.. again, taken last night

Side shot, taken this morning before a run. You can see my gross pot belly of flab.

Taken a while ago... this is how you might find me on a weeknight. Trying to multi-task: relaxing, watching tv, cathing up on blogs, AND bonding with my kitty Samuel. He is a total cuddle big and needs to be touching you at all possible moments!

Confessions of a pizza-a-holic

Ook so I was planning to have homemade pizza last night for supper. What actually ended up finding its way into my mouth was:
- 3 slices of takeout pizza

- 6 wings

- a Joe Louis

WTF? I don't even like Joe Louis'. In fact, I betcha the last time I had one was like grade 2. Gah. Its pretty evident that I have some major issues with self control. What pisses me off even more, is that I have been eating pretty well of late.

I am on my way to erasing last nights disgusting (who the hell am I kidding, it was friggin delicious!) meal. I went to bootcamp class at the gym this morning, and worked my ASS off. I pushed myself to the max!

In the past, what has worked for me the best was following the Core program. I need to re-adapt this way of eating. I always find the first couple of weeks tough, but once I get rid of the eeevil sugar, I feel fantastic. I'm going to attempt this again.

Tonight however, is Andrew's friend's 30th. Its a potluck dinner, followed by an evening out at the bar. We're going to go to the dinner, but skip out on the bar I suspect. I have a 14km run on my agenda for tomorrow morning, and I plan on rockin' it dammit!

My Dad

I absolutely love this picture. It was taken when he first saw me in my wedding dress. I think its amazing that our photographer was able to capture this moment, especially the tears in his eyes.

Isn't he handsome? I love this man to pieces.

WTF?

Its day #1 of my loooooong weekend, and I woke up at 7:01am.

Good news is I already have 2 loads of laundry done.

Its a nice, sunny day out there so I think I'll head out for a run later on today... and upon my return I'll ethier do a pilates DVD or my Shape DVD.

On my menu today:

B: banana, raisin bran with skim milk
L: Salad and chicken breast
D: Homemade pizza.

No snackies for me today. This makes me get out of control. I'm keeping busy all day to avoid unnecessary eating.... which I'm realllllllllly good at when I'm home alone!

There ARE still nice people in th world!

1) So this morning, Andrew and I are in the drive through line at Timmy's. I order 2 coffees. We get to the window, and the guy says that its already paid for. Apparently the guy ahead of us paid for our coffees. I have never seen this vehicle before in my life ethier. Made my day! Maybe I'll win a Toyota Matrix when I roll up the rim! ;)

2) I arrived to a little family of Lindt gold bunnies, mini eggs and lindor eggs on my desk. Help me god.

3) I am ready for a looong weekend. I've been working my little hiney off of late. However, OT has been approved, so at least I'm getting some cashola out of it.

Menu du jour:
B: 2 of my veggie quiche mashed on WW bread with a FF cheese slice and hot sauce. This is my attempt to make it not taste or feel like eggs.
S: cantelope
L: Lunch out.... salad and french onion soup I suspect.
S: banana
D: Not sure. We have a lot of veggies to use up!

The girl who hates eggs...

...makes quiche! They work out to about 1 point each. The ingredients? A ton of veggies- zucchini, roasted red peppers, green peppers, broccoli, green onion, spinach mushrooms - egg beaters and a smidgen of jalapeno monteray jack cheese.

We shall see how the texture is in the morning!

Rain, rain, go away!

1) Its a rainy day today... 30mm of rain. Should be interesting to see where all this water/snow will go. Lets just hope its not my basement! I'm thinking we should maybe go buy a shop vac just to be proactive.

2) My fingers are like little sausages today. Sooo puffy. Bring on the watah.

3) Tonight is hills... I'm not what I consider to be a 'fair weather' runner but tonight I may resort to the tredmill. The thoughts of running in cold rain are completely unappealing. We shall see how the day pans out.

4) I done good yesterday. I avoided the bread at East Sides, worked out for 2 hours AND had a healthy delicious supper consisting of brocolli with a melted FF cheese slice, 4oz chicken breast and some salad from costco. Deeeelicious.

5) I kinda forgot it was a long weekend. We don't have many plans. Heading to my parents new house on Sunday afternoon, and then to MIL's for supper.

Menu for today:
B: Oatmeal, apple
S: banana
L: French onion soup, salad, 2 yogurt
S: orange, 2 pieces WW toast with margarine
D: goat cheese stuffed chicken breast, brocolli, zuchinni boats
S: Diet pop cupcake - rainbow bits with chocolate icing!

I WILL NOT

eat a single piece of delicious buttery bread at lunch.

Just had to throw that out there.

Fat man in a little coat

1. Goooooood morning.

2. I sit right across from the photocopy room, so I tend to hear a lot of conversations. I overheard the most horrible conversation this morning. "G", whom I've talked about in the past has a wife that is sick with cancer. He was photocopying his elderly mothers income tax papers, and going on about all her donations. "$300 to cancer, $200 to the church. You don't get a thing back. I'll have to tell her she might as well start supporting the drug dealers" I was completely floored. Having lost my mother to cancer, I have NO problems shelling out cash to charitable organizations. What a bastard.

3. My hair looks wicked today.

4. I think I may need to rejoin WW online. As much as I'm keeping myself on track with my own journal... its just not working as well as it could. I mean, I know I'm healthy. I'm fit. But my clothes aren't fitting. Today I'm wearing a shirt that I retired a while ago because it looked sloppy. I went to buy a new running jacket on the weekend, and I ended up empty handed because everything was too tight around my stomach, but too big around the bust. I think 10-20lbs would do it. I mean I've lost over 80, whats another 20?

5. Something that should be noted: Yesterday, I ended up having a mimosa at work... so my points were a little off. We had planned soup and grilled cheese for supper. Now usually, I would have it on delicious whole grain regular bread. But because of said mimosas, I opted to make mine on crappy teeny tiny WW bread. Go me. On a side note, I must recommend adding jalapeno cheddar and franks hot sauce to tomato soup. I dunno why I'm loving the spicy food these days.. I can't get enough!

Menu du jour:
B: oatmeal, apple
S: orange
L: East Sides for a departure lunch... I'm thinking just their salad. Its sooo effing good!
S: granola bar
D: Salad, spicey sausage.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

1. With a last name like you can bet your ass I'm celebrating my Irish roots today! My brother, whose name is Patrick tends to make St. Patty's Day a week long celebration, claiming that it is HIS holiday!

2. Not much to report today. I had to leave work early on Friday due to a migraine, so here's hoping my head cooperates today. I suspect is has something to do with the lighting in here. So weird.

Menu:
B: banana, oatmeal
S: apple
L: french onion soup, 2 yogurt
S: orange
D: TBD.

AP's: One hour weights.

Long Sloooooooow Distance!

I got some new runners yesterday. A small sports store was going out of business, so all their shoes were 50% off. Andrew and I both got shoes for $200! Not too shabby! I armed myself with the essentials: new shoes, anti-diarrhea (perhaps TMI!) meds and headed off to the Running Room for a long slow run.
End result: 11k in 1h26mins. This is much slower then my usual pace, but you know... it felt friggin fantastic the entire time, despite the horrible terrain. I even had a smile on my face upon returning home! Have a great Sunday everyone!

Eat your heart out Wendy's

Because I made a better (and healthier) burger then you did!

Ever since I've heard the commercials for the spicy baconator, I cannot lie its peaked my interest!

"If you’re wondering what this new extreme bacon burger is all about here is the run down. Just like the first Baconator this one has six strips of (hopefully crispy) bacon on top of two hamburgers. What make it spicy is the addition of two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, chipotle ranch sauce, and jalapenos. Wow that’s a lot of hot. "

'''Baconator'''
Serving size
1 sandwich (553 grams)
Calories 840
Total fat 51 g
Saturated fat 23 g

Here is MY version!

I chopped up jalepenos and 3 slices of raw bacon and added them to about 1/2 pound of lean ground pork (this is what I had in the freezer) Because pork dosn't "stick" that well I added some bread crumbs and an egg white. This made 4 hamburger patties.
I added some Franks hot sauce to some low fat mayo, and topped it with Jalepeno Monteray Jack Cheese... served on a WW bun and I added some ketchup after the fact. SOOO tasty, and totally satisfied my hankering for something spicy!
Sure, there's no french fries like take out... but to be honest, I like brocoli better I think! I'm pretty proud of my fake take out!!
For desert: See below. I found these at Costco today. 24 treats for $9.99. Not bad!

Friday, March 14, 2008

Check out this link:

I have to admit, I googled Wendy's Spicy Baconator... thinking that I may attempt to create something of the sort on my own this weekend.

Can you believe people eat this to LOSE weight? Jesus! Low carb my ass!

Bring on the weeeeeeeeekend!

1) Another OP day for me yesterday. WOOO HOO!

2) I had a great workout at the gymbo. I made it home with enough time to make it to step class, so I did that instead of running. I will do my 5k run, upper body and ab workout tonight instead.

3) Marie.. I must thank you for posting those delicious looking diet pop cupcakes. I went home last night and made a batch of diet gingerale/cherry chip cupcakes. Must have been my lucky day because cake mix and icing was all on sale for .99, so I bought 4 of each! I predict a future filled with 2 point cupcakes!

4) On a quasi exciting front: I think Andrew and I may head west this summer. I have a friend that's getting married in Canmore, AB in July. My favorite uncle in the whole world lives in Edmonton, so I think we may go out for 10 days or so in July! I was pretty shocked at how low the flights were... ie, under $700 each! I called last night to invite us out there and they agreed. YIPEE! Sooo exciting!

Menu du jour - its looking a lot like every other day this week:

B: banana, oatmeal
S: apple
L: French onion soup, 2 yogurt
S: pear, granola bar
D: Something with sausage/peppers/pasta
S: cherry chip cupcake with icing. YUM

AP's: 5k run, arms, abs

Good, Good, Good, Good Vibrations!

1) Me = Road Rage. It baffles me how some people think that a 'yield' means merge. Gah. Not a good start to my day!

2) Night #1 of hills was ok. The hill they chose to take us on, was kind of a 2 parter with a turn in between so I found that I really lost my momentum at the half way point. Kinda irritating. Ah well, I got out there, my heart was pumping and I worked up a sweat. The thing I found somewhat bizarre is that there were a few people that were chit chatting on the way up. This is NOT hill training. You're supposed to be giving it your all, not leisurely jogging to the point. To each their own I suppose, but frig! Having taught several clinics myself, I suppose I'm just finding it hard to be a participant.

3) Eating was on par yesterday also. I arrived home to a delicious meal prepared by my husband (who cannot cook) Stuffed chicken breast (goat cheese, roasted red peppers, pesto) steamed broccoli and mashed taters. It even tasted good!

4) The weekend is rapidly approaching, and for the second week in a row Andrew is off for the entire weekend! Yippee! Not quite sure what we'll get up to, but I have the painting bug in me once again. I think I want to paint our main bathroom. We shall see!

Menu du jour:
B: apple, oatmeal
S: banana, granola bar
L: costco french onion soup, 2 yogurt, cravings cheesecake (these are so good!)
S: orange, pear
D: Tomato soup, grilled cheese

AP's: 5k run, upper body, abs.

le snow... encore!

1) Its snowing AGAIN in Ottawa. Apparently we're pretty close to beating the record for snow fall. The record is 444cm, and I think we're got around 410cm or something. The way I see it, we might as well break it since we've come this far right?

2) It should be noted, my family is in Myrtle Beach playing golf this week. I can't complain too much though, I did get a sun vacation this winter!

3) The first appearance of Easter eggs made their way into our office today. I promise I will not eat one of those little f'ers. They're really not THAT great anyway!

4) Hill training starts at my running clinic tonight. I loathe hills. Like really loathe them. Ah well. Its gotta be done.

5) I'm currently listening to this dumbass I work with (whom I call the Baconator behind her back, she thinks a bagel with 2 slices of cheese and 4 slices of bacon is healthy!) talk about how getting your shirts dry cleaned and ironed is cheaper then using your electricity to iron it yourself. She is completely out to lunch.

6) My 12 hour work day was incredibly productive yesterday, and I even left in a good mood. Lets hope for the same today!

Menu for today:
B: apple, oatmeal
S: banana
L: French onion soup from Costco, 2 yogurt, orange
S: Pear, granola bar
D: Who knows.. something after running.

Jon and Kate Plus 8

Does anyone else watch this show? I am completely into it. Why you might ask? Not only is it fasinating to watch 2 people parent 8 friggin kids, but I also see a lot of Andrew and I in Jon and Kate. Like to the point it freaks me out. She has the same witty attitude and sarcasm that I have, and he is completely relaxed like Andrew. She tends to feed it to him in the same way I dish it out to Andrew!!
Last night in the episode, they were doing an interview when all of a sudden Kate says "Honey, can you stop breathing so heavy" Andrew and I burst out laughing, because I have often said things like that to my hubby. Soo weird to see parts of yourself in people on TV!

Keep on truckin'

1) Last night was a good night. Got home from work, stayed out of the kitchen and read for an hour. Andrew arrived home and we headed off to the gymbo. I ran for 55 mins. Then we went and stocked up on fruits/veggies. We did our big shop this week at Costco, and I always find that we never have food after those trips. Then we went home, had salad with chicken for supper and collapsed in bed.

2) Lynn - Can you invite me to your bloggerama?

3) Today will be a productive day. I will get a lot accomplished at work. I got Andrew to drop me off so I wouldn't be tempted to leave at normal time. I need a good 12 hour day to get me on the ball.

4) I had a horrible dream last night that I cheated on Andrew with a guy I went to highschool with. It was scary, and I woke up sweating. Bizarre eh?

Menu:
B- oatmeal
S- banana
L- St. Hubert Chicken Chowder from a can, 2 yogurt
S- apple, orange
D- Pasta with sauteed veggies, chicken and alfredo sauce
S- LF ice-cream with caramel sauce. YUM!

Tales of a snow-filled weekend in Gatineau!

Lewis and Sam... attempting to go outside!

Our humble abode!

This is our backyard... snow is almost up to the top of our fence. CRAZY!

Feeling irritated

1) This weekend was not a WW success. Who knew being snowed in went hand in hand with eating too much food. I didn't run yesterday ethier. Booo. Grand total of snow in Ottawa: 51cm!

2) I tried to post pictures about 3908 times yesterday, but the server was not behaving.

3) I need to get this off of my chest also. Last week I stayed home sick for 3 days. Upon my return, this office bitch pulled me aside and pretty much reprimanded me for coming in. One of our co-workers has a wife who has just been diagnosed with Lukemia. She said "Amy, I know you're not feeling well. You should consider going home because of Garry picks up your cold it could be fatal to his wife". I was kind of dumbfounded. I was so shocked, I couldn't even say anything! It should be noted, that Garry's wife is still going to work herself. Fuck, I'm still pissed just even thinking about it. She brought it up at our team meeting this morning, and I wanted to rage. But I controlled myself.

4) I'm getting back to normal eating and exercise today.

Menu:
B- Grapes, oatmeal
S- Banana
L- Lean Cuisine Thai Chicken, pineapple
D- Chicken and salad
S- Ice cream with caramel sauce

AP's: 5-6k run

SnOwEd In!

Good evening... it appears as though we're snowed in, and guess what? I don't care! Ottawa has seen the worst of this March storm, and they're anticipacting we'll see 30-50cms by the time its over.

We were supposed to meet friends for dinner this evening, but due to said snow we decided to cancel. Usually I would be disappointed, but I'm actually looking forward to a quiet and somewhat romantic evening indoors. We had Blue Menu Chicken Pot Pie for supper, and we're going to pop in a movie soon and snuggle on the couch. Bliss!

I made my debut back at the gym last evening. I ran 5k and did some abs. This morning I went to Bootcamp class, which totally kicked my ass... but felt great pushing myself. Tomorrow is long run day, but again, because of the snow I can't see it happening. My goal is to hack it out on the tredmill. This could be challenging. My plan for survival: Throw some new tunes on my mp3 player and try to enjoy it.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far. I sure as hell am!

DATE NIGHT!

1) My mister and I are going on a date tonight. SUSHI! Delicious. I can't wait!

2) 30 more centimeters of snow is on the way. The way they're talking on the radio, its like the end of world. We were going to host a 'rock band' party at our house tomorrow... but it dosn't look like it will happen. I discovered Rock Band a couple of weekends ago, and let me tell you, I can rock out on the drums! Like rock out to the point that I impress the hell out of Andrew's friends! haha

3) My appetite is back. I was hoping it would never show up again.

4) Good news is, today is our irritating co-op students last day. Somehow she's been tasked to do some data entry for my files, and holy frig, she is irritating... and has no tact. She comes over, and tells me I'm wrong all the time. These are my files, and my work you little biatch. Just do the damn data entry and shut up!

5) On a side note, I think I may go buy my running jacket tonight too since I completely failed on my Lent mission... Reward myself for not succeeding. Maybe then I will look forward to running on Sunday. I am totally NOT loving running anymore. I need my mojo back. Its gone. Help!!

Menu du jour:

B: Granola bar, apple
L: Lean cuisine thai chicken, cucumber slices, yogurt
D: SUUUUUUUSHI

AP's: Sexin' it up a notch. My sickness has left me tres deprived.

Back to Work

1) Well.. I'm still feeling like ass, but I'm back to work armed with OJ, diet gingerale, and fruit. I still don't have much of an appetite which in itself is bizarre! Also, I have no desire to drink coffee. WEIRD.

2) I haven't done any exercise since Sunday. BAD BAD BAD.

3) I find my new hair style hard to do. I think I need a new straightener, one of the super duper ones that my hair dresser has. I think that might do the trick.

4) I want to go home.

Menu du jour
B- banana

Feeling like poo: Day #3

Woke up this morning feeling like shit again. Shocker.
I am just so tired and weak.
I took some drugs, and slept until 11am... woke up feeling a wee bit better so thats good.
I am ready to start feeling more like Amy, and less like death.
May try a light workout at the gym tonight.

Death becomes her

Still feel like death today... I took today off.

You know what is the ultimate sign that I'm sick. I have zero appetite.

But, I am drinking a lot of calories as I'm pounding back a combo of OJ and diet gingerale.

Its gotta get better.

I think I'm dying....

I woke up this morning feeling kinda off; but I decided to go running anyway. BAD IDEA. I feel achy, freezing, conjested. GAH.

I took a neo citrin in the tub, but still feel like ass.

Gah. I just can't win these days!

How good does this look?

Remember my stuffed chicken breast I was raving about the other night? I made it again last night... and this time had to take a picture to document this absolute deliciousness!
I kind of made this recipe up, and I'm by no means a professional recipe writer.. but here it goes:
"Stuffing" (I don't measure really)
- Pesto
- roasted red peppers
- herbed goat cheese
- spinach
Coating (i grind it all up in my trusty magic bullet)
- Fibre One
- almonds
- dried basil
- S&P
Slice chicken breast in half, and stuff with stuffing. Brush with egg whites and top with the coating crumbs. Cook at 425 for about 25 mins. Sooo good!
I served it with mashed taters that I whipped in my mixer... and holy frig, they were the best potatoes I've ever had in my life. Soooo smooth!
